History and introduction

The construction of Pahari Dam Project envisages replacement of the existing Pahari weir having falling shutters arrangement with a gated spillway on river Dhasan in Mauranipur Tehsil of Distt. Jhansi (U.P.) .The exiting Pahari weir was constructed in the year 1910-1920 irrigation water to Dhasan Canal System. This is an old seasonary structure and is unsafe according to modern desing concepts. The existing falling shutters arrangement create operational problems during flood period. Hence the existing weir needs immediate replacement in view of the in creasing demand of irrigation water. So, a new dam is proposed 75M d/s of existing weir on Dhasan river.

It is understood and agreed that the contractor has satisfied himself as to the nature and location of the works, general and local conditions and particularly those bearing on transport, handling or storage of materials, disposal of spoils, availability of labour, weather conditions or similar physical conditions at the work site subsoil water, hydrology the configuration of ground the character quality and quantity or the surface and the sub0surface materials to be encountered. The character of equipment and facilities needed preliminary to and during the execution of the work and all other matters which may in any way affect the work or the cost thereof under this contract.
